NEW YORK (Reuters) -
Online auction company eBay Inc on
Monday named Josh Silverman chief executive of Skype, its
Internet telephony unit.
Silverman, currently CEO of eBay's Shopping unit, will
take on the job on March 24, replacing Michael van Swaaij, who
was appointed interim CEO in October. Silverman helped build
eBay's classified ad business in Europe.
Andrew Haddad, another eBay executive, will take on the top
job an comparison shopping site Shopping. Haddad jointed
eBay in 2001, which it bought iBazar, a European company.
